Subject: Request for deferment due to economic hardship

Dear Sir,

This is to inform you that I, Mike Peterson, have been undergoing an economic hardship presently and would like to request you for the deferment of my personal loan that is due for payment on the 26th of March, 2013.

I have been employed as a Personnel Officer at the Union Manufacturers Pvt. Ltd. for the last seven years. However, the company shares have fallen drastically due to the present economic conditions, and hence a number of employees have been fired, which includes me as well. I have since then started hunting for job avenues but to no avail. Also, I have tried all possible means of gathering money for the coming months but have not really succeeded. Keeping this condition of economic hardship in view, I cannot find any hope of settling the loan payments that I owe your company.

I would thus request you to kindly look into the matter so that my due payments can be subject to some sort of deferment and I can avail of the facilities. It would also be fine if you would suggest some alternatives to deal with the situation. I believe this to be a temporary phase and ask for your assistance and support me through this hardship.

Thanking You

Mike Peterson
